Candle Care

Trim your wicks to 1/4" before every burn. Your first burn is the most important! Please allow your initial burn to last 3 hours to prevent tunneling. Do not burn your candles for more than 4 hours at a time. Stop use when 1/4" of wax remains or glass may crack. Never leave your candle unattended. Keep lit candles away from air vents, drafts, ceiling fans, flammable objects, children and pets. Never touch glass after candle is lit.

WARNING: Failure to follow these tips can result in fire, injury, or smoke damage. Please burn with care.

About Our Candles & Wicks

Our Wax:

Our hand poured vegetable/paraffin soy blend is super soft and creamy to achieve the ultimate scent throw filling your home.

We use premium fragrance oils in each product.

Our Wood Wicks:

Each candle is wicked with a premium wood wick, which offers a clean burn from beginning to end. Patented composition made from natural, responsibly harvested soft wood made in the US!

Wooden wicks can be a little harder to light but produce a better, cleaner burn with a nice crackling accent! It is best to light where the wick meets the wax. Always trim your wicks to 1/4" after burning. Never burn your candle for more than 4 hours. When trimmed properly a wood wick creates a better and longer burn with less soot residue on the sides of the jar. The shorter the wick the better the flame. We always recommend trimming to 1/4". If you do mistakenly produce soot around your candle, a simple wet paper towel will remove with a swipe! Be sure your candle is not in a drafty area!

Our Cotton Wicks:

Our sample tin and citronella candles are wicked with eco-friendly wicks that have a traditional braided wick design, which are cotton with a paper core. They are lead and zinc free. Our care is the same as our wooden wicks, always trim your cotton wicks to 1/4” after each burn. Never burn your candle for more than 4 hours. When trimmed properly a cotton wick creates a better and longer burn with less soot residue on the sides of the jar. The shorter the wick the better the flame. We always recommend trimming to 1/4". If you do mistakenly produce soot around your candle, a simple wet paper towel will remove with a swipe! Be sure your candle is not in a drafty area!

All of our products are poured, scented, wicked, bottled, labeled and packaged by hand with love!

Our candles are animal free products and have no animal testing involved.

Reed Diffuser Care

Our reed diffusers are a great alternative to our candles because they give a subtle scent throughout the air. Most of our diffusers last 3-6 months depending on the strength of fragrance choice. The rate of disbursement depends on where it is placed in your home and how often you flip the reeds. For the best results, place your diffuser in a drafty area to draw up the scent. When you stop smelling, flip your reeds!

WARNING: Highly flammable liquid. Do not light reeds. Do not ingest. Keep away from children and pets. Avoid contact with eyes, skin, and clothing. If ingested, seek medical attention immediately. Do not place directly on wood or porous surfaces, accidental spillage may cause damage. Wash hands after coming in contact with the oil.

FAQ

Q: Do reed diffuser oils have to include alcohol or DPG?
A: No. DPG and alcohol are added to many reed diffusers to dilute the reed diffuser oil. You don't need alcohol or DPG to make the reed diffusers "work". Our reed diffuser oils are complete as you receive them.
In fact, the cheap imported reed diffuser oils have high alcohol/and/or/DPG content so that they will evaporate faster (and get used up so that you have to buy more). They also have less of the essential oil base that makes up the reed diffuser oil. Many expensive reed diffusers can contain DPG and alcohol to stretch the scented oil.

Q: Why can't I just re-use my sticks over and over again?
A: Once the reed sticks are totally saturated, the cells in the reeds eventually get somewhat clogged and lose their ability to pull the scent up into the reeds and throw the fragrance into the room. Needless to say, you definitely can't move the reeds to a different scent of oil- because the cells will contain the previous scent of fragrance diffuser oil. You won't get a pure scent transfer.

Q: How often do I flip the reeds?
A: Please flip once per week. Once the reed sticks are totally saturated, the cells in the reeds eventually get somewhat clogged and lose their ability to pull the scent up into the reeds and throw the fragrance into the room

Q: My reed diffusers don't seem to be scenting the room as strongly as I would like. What's wrong?
A: If you've flipped your reeds so that moist reed ends are sticking up, perhaps you're trying to scent too large of a room. You might need more than one bottle of reed diffuser, placed in opposite corners, for optimum results. Also, if your room has an active A/C, air exchange system or frequent door opening to the outside, it may affect results.

Q: Can I use different scents in different rooms?
A: Yes! Then you'll walk from one scent to another. Since scents trigger feelings, reed diffusers can create an environment of feelings that change from one space to another. Consider the many variations of positive feelings: uplifted, romantic, relaxed, cheerful, generous, optimistic, and reminiscent and more.
